Multiple effects of a variable

Once the outcome of performing a behaviour is reinforcing to the learner (not the food reinforcer, could be that it opens availability to the next cue) the cue for the next behaviour opened up is now the +R for the previous behaviour.

It looks like this; A-B-C/A-B-C.
An example would be; cue walk (A)–walk on (B)–cue touch target (C (CR)/A)–touch target (B)–food reinforcer (UR).

If the learner was not motivated to get the final reinforcer then they would be unlikely to respond to the first cue.

To complicate things further with our pets is the addition of social reinforcement. What is the reinforcer they are really working for, is it a combination of reinforcers?!
